ACVVS & Volunteers Support Officer

We are looking for an ACVVS & Volunteers Support Officer at our Ascot offices. This is a full-time, fixed-term contract opportunity for 12 months to cover maternity leave.

Office hours are from 8.00am to 4.06pm and there is flexibility with the start and finish times. The role is subject to a six-month probation.

Salary: SCHADS 3.1 to 3.4 $36.00 to $38.60 per hour (depending on experience) plus superannuation

Option to salary package up to $15,990 reducing taxable income.

This position is responsible for assisting the ACVVS & Volunteers Manager with the running of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme, including maintaining the volunteer database, assisting with the promotion of the program, organising volunteer meetings and arranging training for volunteers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Essential

    1. Qualification in aged care or community services and/or experience working in the aged care sector.
    2. Proven attention to detail and organisational skills.
    3. Capacity to problem solve and offer innovative solutions.
    4. Energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to volunteer services.
    5. Ability to relate to and engage a range of stakeholders.
    6. Good written and verbal communication skills.
    7. Experience in Microsoft Office and managing spreadsheets.
    8. Current driver’s licence.

Desirable

    1. Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
    2. Knowledge of diversity, access and equity issues for CaLD and LGBTIQ+ seniors.
    3. Knowledge of volunteer/client matching processes.
