Assistant Assessment Coordinator

We are looking for an Assistant Assessment Coordinator tin our Home Support Services team as a fixed-term contract ending 30 June 2025. A probation period of six months will apply and flexibility to work outside of office hours is required.

Salary: SCHADS Award level 4.1 ($41.52) per hour depending on experience plus super.  There is an option to salary package up to $15,990pa, reducing taxable income.

This role will support our clients’ quality of life and help to maximize their independence by conducting entry point checks, undertaking in-home client assessments, supporting care planning and coordinating initial client service delivery.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Essential

    1. Formal qualifications in aged care or community services or at least two years’ experience in the aged care or community care sectors.
    2. A minimum of two years’ experience in a marketing, customer service or client-facing role.
    3. Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and reforms.
    4. Sound organisational and time management skills.
    5. Knowledge of work, health and safety regulations in a home care environment.
    6. MS Office skills and experience (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    7. Ability to work independently as well as in a team and to use initiative to resolve problems.
    8. Good written and verbal communication skills.
    9. Understanding of wellness and re-enablement principles.
    10. Willingness to work in accordance with Umbrella’s values and mission.

Desirable

    1. Knowledge of the Aged Care Act 2023
    2. Knowledge of diversity, access, and equity issues for CaLD and LGBTIQ+ seniors
    3. Second language other than English.
    4. Current driver’s licence.
