(08) 6155 6793 - Social Support Services

We offer home care and social support programs for seniors aged 65 and over from culturally and linguistically diverse and LGBTIQ+ backgrounds throughout the Perth metro and Peel region. OUr current programs include Home Support Services, Social Support Group, Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme and care finder. All these programs are fully funded by the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care.

Home Support Services

The entry level of service is the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) which offers domestic duties, respite, personal care, gardening and home maintenance to help keep clients living independently at home for as long as possible.

We had over 600 clients on the CHSP program as of June 2024.

The Home Care Package (HCP) program has four levels, depending on an assessment of the client’s needs. It includes all of the elements of the CHSP but with a greater level of support and also includes the option for clients to select nursing and allied health services as part of their packages.

We had over 150 clients on the HCP program as of June 2024.

Social Support Group

As part of their CHSP or HCP packages, clients can select a group or individual social support program. Umbrella’s point of difference as an aged care provider is its extensive group social support program, called the Golden Age Club, which runs five days a week at our Belmont social support centre.

Our social support program includes day trips and local excursions, entertainment, meals, an Internet cafe to assist clients with digital technology. Every fortnight on a Friday, we have a dance party at the social support centre with a live band. We also have themed days and offer a host of different group activities.

Transport for clients is provided door to door across the Perth metro.

We host an average of 400 clients a week at our social support centre.

You can choose group social support with us as part of your home care package.
