(08) 6155 6793 - Social Support Services

Multicultural Village Hub

This project was run over two and a half years from the beginning of 2022 to June 2024 and was for people from diverse backgrounds aged 55 years or over (50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders) living in or near the Cities of Belmont and Bayswater.

The project was funded by the Department of Social Services.

It created connections and a sense of belonging through group activities such as wellness programs, recreational and educational activities. The activities helped to build participants’ levels of confidence and empowered them to share their knowledge, skills and interests. It also provided a peer support network and information about local services and programs.

See the results of the project’s closing survey, completed by 67 of its participants, at the link below. You can also click on the forward arrow in the image to view a collection of photo highlights from the project.
