The Aged Care Volunteers Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) is funded by the Australian Federal Government to connect volunteers to isolated seniors living in Perth Metro. Our dedicated ACVVS team will work to connect both client and volunteer to ensure there is a cultural, language and common interest match.
If you are passionate about supporting seniors and helping reduce loneliness in your community we invite you to join the Umbrella Community Care as a volunteer visitor.
We offer casual, part-time and full-time roles, depending on the job requirements. Permanent residency of Australia is not a pre-requisite to apply for a role with us. We employ people holding student and other visa types.
Funded by the Australian Government, home care packages assist seniors who need support to stay at home for as long as possible and they are customised for each client.
The CHSP team is responsible for setting up your support, care plan, and service agreement, keeping in contact with you and conducting ongoing reviews of your services with you.
Care finders support vulnerable older people who cannot arrange services without intensive support and do not have family members or friends who can help.
The program focuses on the needs of older people from particular linguistic, cultural and complex vulnerability backgrounds who may be at greater risk of social isolation.
